Happy "Golden Anniversary"!

On Friday July 23rd my Uncle Tony & Aunt Linda (my Mom's youngest brother) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Jeff and I made a surprise visit (sort of) to help them celebrate. We drove to the cabin Thursday evening and then Friday morning I called and asked if they were ready to go to church - ( we had requested a mass be held to commemorate their 50th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia, MN, they were married there). Linda's comment was "I thought you might be there :)" Through the years Jeff and I have remained very close to them. During the winter we visit them in Phoenix and they are god parents to our daughter Noelle.
Along with attending mass with them we were able to take them out to lunch. This is a photo with Fr. O'Donelle - the mass was also the last day of a week long Vacation Bible School so there were many children there to applaud them on 5o years. Father was able to congratulate them during his sermon about the wedding at Canaan.

With our love, Congratulations to you both!

Quilting at the Cabin

Quilting at the cabin has become the "other" activity when we are at the lake. The setting is beautiful. Mary, Toby, & Kelly joined me this week. I have taught school with each of them. ---- and what would a group of ladies do without a chocolate dessert, thanks Kelly!

Happy Birthday Dan!

Dan, our daughter Abby's hubby celebrated his birthday this week on the 14th. Dan has so many talents that he shares with all of us. Here he is with a game that he made (with Ab's help too!) for our anniversary. We have learned that Dan loves to keep busy and seems to get to things before we even have a chance to ask someone to do it. Thanks, Dan! Hope your next year brings you new adventures!

The Nadeau's Celebrate the 4th of July 2010

The "4th of July" has a variety of traditions for families. Recently we have been celebrating the day at our cabin. Everyone was there on the "day" - our door was revolving most of the weekend! In addition we extended an invite to all of Jeff's siblings and their families - two of his brothers and sister and their spouses were able to participate along with his Mom. The following are fun pics from the weekend as well as the day! I am hoping to get the "big group" picture posted as well.

This year we were able to celebrate the "4th of July" together. We are a growing bunch!

The Big Kids!

Jeff's brothers Gregg & Jacque & his sister Val and their spouses joined in our celebration this year along with Jeff's Mom!
