Jim Pankowski from the Wisconsin office has retired. Last Thursday evening, (the 29th of April) the FABCON sales department hosted a retirement party for him. Jim & Jeff have not only been fellow employees but also Jim's wife Diane and I were able to nuture a friendship during the last several years. We shared fond reminiscences of our "World of Concrete" conventions in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Houston, & New Orleans (with some return trips). It was a great time just to connect and share the experiences of having a hubby that travel and often times worked far more than a 40 hour week. This core group of salesman became an extension of our family. We wish you well JP & Diane!

Grandma Goes to the Zoo!
The Brockmeier's purchased a "family pass + one" to the MN Zoo. Great idea - then someone else (like a grandparent) can join in the fun. Noelle called and asked if I would like to come along - I did! It is definitely more relaxing to go with grandchildren than a group of middle schoolers who have a Science worksheet to complete. What fun to focus on the little things when you're with your grandchildren. Their reactions to the baby pigs nursing to the pretend boat and motor - their eyes see so much more than I ever realized our own children saw. When I came home "I" needed a nap! I wonder if they slept as well as I did! Thanks for including me today! Love you!

Karen & Larry
Larry & Karen have been our friends for several years. Larry is our "resident carpenter." When we worked on an addition to our home Larry will tell the story of how he moved a window "3" times in the kitchen. A very patient man.
Along with the kitchen remodel he and his son-in-law Dustin paneled the whole cabin interior with pine boards. They joined us this weekend to see the cabin complete. We had a great time renewing and old friendship.
Karen & Larry lived across the street from us for awhile. They have four children and three grandchildren. It is wonderful to have perennial friends.

Happy Birthday Blair!
"Spring Ritual"
We made a very "quick" trip to the lake to put in the dock. Pat & Judy, who have lived at the lake for several years, shared that this is one of the earliest yet for the ice to melt. It is a special time of renewal when that happens. Jeff & I are looking forward to spending more time experiencing the seasons changing at the lake.
Thanks Guys!
